There is absolutely no reason for spell check errors.

It makes your site look less than professional, and implies that you do not take pride in your work. We know that is not your intention, however, perception is reality. If a customer sees spelling mistakes, it will reflect on your site, and your business.  If you are having a professional web designer create your site, ensure that there are no spelling errors in their finished product. Errors do happen, but its ultimately up to you to correct those errors.

Keep in mind that there may be slight variations in language depending on the country. For example, the word center is spelt 'centre' in Canada. If the majority of your demographic is Canadian, spell it 'centre'. Remember, when in Canada, do as the Canadians do.
